Funding Options



Going far beyond benefit plan flexibility, Rocky Mountain Health Plans (RMHP) also offers a variety of unique, premium funding options for employer group plans. Our funding options give you the flexibility you need with the quality and affordability you expect.
 

Fully-Insured

The fully-insured financing option, which is available to all group sizes, is the traditional way to finance health care. With this option, you pay a constant premium each month that’s based on the specifics of your group, and RMHP assumes all other risk. It’s predictable, easy to budget for, and easy to understand – so, you can focus on your business, while RMHP takes care of your health benefits. Shared-Funding

Generally, this option is created for employer groups with 51 or more employees, RMHP shared-funding allows employers the opportunity to benefit from "better-than-average" claims experience within their group, while maintaining financial protection from "worse-than-average" claims. Administrative Services Only (ASO) & Self-Funding

Designed for the larger employer groups (typically 100 or more employees), self-funding combines the greatest amount of financial control with benefit design flexibility. Employers choose services most appropriate for their needs, select benefits most suited for their employees, make appropriate financing arrangements, and then actively participate in management of their health benefit plan.
